Chief Information Officer, Advans network
Horus is recruiting the
Chief Information Officer to head its MIS Unit.
ROLE/RESPONSIBILITIES
o
The CIO has under his
direct management the following teams:
o
Implementation team and
R&D team based in Paris,
o
Support and Maintenance
team based in Ghana (Accra).
o
He/she is responsible of
the definition and implementation of the MIS strategy to sustain the Advans
network development.
o
He is designing and
negotiating the contracts with the Advans institutions (implementation,
support/maintenance) and with the external providers.
o
The essential role of
MIS Unit is to implement the existing IS to “Greenfield” MFIs and to provide
additional developments upon requests.
o
Implement and develop
the IS in the new institutions (CBS, Business Intelligence, CRM,
Accountancy, Administration…),
o
Provide a support and
maintenance for the main systems and softwares,
o
Ensure the development,
documentation, implementation of the “Advans model” in Advans MFI in
collaboration with the Operations Unit,
o
Assist the Advans
management and IT Departments of the Advans MFI for the organization
and the security of their information systems.The MIS Unit is also in charge
for providing technical assistance to Advans network institutions
that do not benefit from the standard IS Advans model:
o
Provide assistance
for selection project, implementation and deployment
of the information systems,
o
Advise on MIS Unit
organization and strategy,
o
Conduct information
systems audit.
In addition, the MIS
Unit is responsible as a software vendor for the design, the development
of “Noomadic” (Mobile Banking software that provides financial services through
mobile phones).
The CIO is part of the
Horus executive committee.
This position is based
in Paris and involves short-term missions abroad.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
o
Master degree in project
management and MIS
o
At least 10 years of
work experience in high level positions, with successful
o
management experiences
o
Excellent
entrepreneurial, Leadership, planning and organization skills,
resultoriented, analytical
o
Team spirit, excellent
interpersonal skills, client service oriented
o
Knowledge of the context
of the developing countries
o
Experience on a
banking/microfinance software is an advantage
o
Working languages :
English and French
